Frequently asked questions.

What is an “Associate Marriage and Family Therapist”?

The title of “Associate Marriage and Family Therapist” (AMFT) means that I am provisionally licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California to offer psychotherapy, while accumulating thousands of hours of experience. During this process, I’m required to meet regularly with a clinical supervisor to review cases and gain new perspectives and insights.

Do you work with individuals?

Yes! Being an AMFT does not mean that I must work with families or those who are married; instead, to me being an AMFT means viewing an individual first and foremost as a relational being, including the relationships that you have with your thoughts, your body, your past, your future, and yourself, right now, in this moment.

What is your fee?

My fee is $180 per session. However, I do have some sliding scale options available, so if my fee doesn’t work for you, let’s still talk.

Do you accept insurance?

For telehealth clients, I currently accept a variety of insurances, including Medi-Cal. For in-person clients at the Beverly Hills location, I accept Aetna, Optum, and United Healthcare. For in-person clients in Los Feliz, as well as any out-of-network clients, I do not currently accept insurance, but I can provide you with a “super bill”, which is a detailed invoice that you can submit as a claim to your insurance for reimbursement.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! Please reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. I can work with California residents via telehealth or in-person in Beverly Hills and Los Feliz, Los Angeles, California.
